MEDICARE ADVANTAGE cARRIER RELEASE GUIDES

How Do I Get A Release From My Current Upline?

Getting a Medicare Advantage release can be challenging. It often involves reciprocal agreements and waiting periods, and with rules differing from carrier to carrier, it is understandably confusing.  Our team here at Life Professionals is here to help walk you through this complex procedure and make it as simple as possible.

Please refer to the carrier specific guidelines for immediate release and notice of intent instructions.

AETNA RELEASE GUIDELINES
NOTE:  AETNA requires their own release form.  They will not accept releases via email or on letterhead from your previous upline - without exception.
When a release is needed for a hierarchy change, there are three pathways for an agent to obtain the release.
     - Immediate Release
     - 3 Months with No Production
     - NOI

The first step will always be for the agent to request the carrier contract. Once the request is received, a contracting link will be sent to the agent and they will be able to follow one of the three pathways for a hierarchy change.
     Immediate Release
          - When completing the contracting link, the agent will upload the immediate release they have received from their current upline.
          - Once carrier has processed the agents contracting, they will appear on our reporting.
     3-Months with No Production
          - No production for 3 months -
               - They will complete the contracting link and be moved under us.
          - Production in the last 3 months -
               - When completing the contracting link, the agent will follow the NOI pathway.
     Notice of Intent
          - Agents are able to download a copy of the NOI during the carrier contracting process or they may reach out to us for a copy.
          - Agent will complete the NOI and upload the completed form to their contracting.
          - Once their contracting is submitted with their completed NOI, their 90 day wait period will begin.
          - After 90 days, the agent will move under us without needing to re-contract.
ANTHEM RELEASE GUIDELINES

     Immediate Release
          - When completing the contracting link, the agent will upload the immediate release they have received from their current upline.
          - Once carrier has processed the agents contracting, they will appear on our reporting.
     Notice of Intent
          - Agents will send an email, with Medicare@LifeProfessionalsSeniorSolutions.com cc’d, to their current FMO stating that they would like to move to away from them.
          - After 6 months, we will send the agent a contracting link. They will upload a copy of the email they sent to their current FMO to their No More Forms contracting.
